In a picturesque setting surrounded by lush native bush and farmland is Catlins Woodstock Lodge.
Situated in the corner of a 10 acre paddock, with it's beautiful outlook
and peaceful surrounds, it is a slice of paradise, the ideal spot in which
to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The lodge has been built to blend with the bush environment, with each
unit featuring rustic timber exteriors, maroon coloured aluminium joinery,
and in the larger units kitchens and dining suites constructed from macrocarpa, plus all the modern conveniences (apart from a dishwasher) you would
expect in a new home.
This includes an electric oven and grill with gas hob, fridge/freezer, and microwave.
Each bathroom has a shower and vanity and a washing machine.
There are also seperate toilets with hand basins in these units.
Catlins Woodstock Music Festival, held 3rd Sunday of January every year.
Set as it is in a large 10 acre paddock, there is always plenty of room
for children to play.
The Catlins River runs through a corner of the property,
and keen anglers can try their luck catching a fish for their mid day or evening
meal in the fishing season.
Woodstock lodge is an ideal base to explore this beautiful area. Just 4km from the Southern Scenic Route which runs through the regions most beautiful areas.
The lodge is only 14kms from Owaka, so visitors can take a leisurely drive to the town should they run out of supplies. It is also in a very central location for visiting the region's famous waterfalls. The Catlins River Walk is a short distance up this same road and offers a spectacular 5 hour beech forest walk.
